Sutra

Born out of the Barátok gig in Cottiers Theatre, Glasgow, September 2016, Sutra is the latest collaboration between Hungarian Violinist Zoltan Lantos and Scottish musician Iain Copeland.

Zoltan and Iain met originally whilst playing in a collaboration between Session A9 and world renowned percussionist Trilok Gurtu at Perth Theatre in 2008. During the development of the project they formed a musical friendship that has come to fruition, now 8 years later, resulting in Sutra. A mix of folk and improvisational styles from both countries.

The project also features the talents of guitarist Malcolm Macfarlane (Jamie Cullum, Barbara Thompson, Shakatak), Bassist Gus Stirrat (Fat Suit, Gus Stirrat Group)
